Filming is going on the Avengers 4Â set at Atlanta, and Just Jared has come out with another exciting bunch of set photos to highlight it.
This is turning out to be quite a busy week for Marvel Studios, with the Blu-ray release of Thor: Ragnarok and the unveiling of a featurette on Black Panther. However, looming large above all those things is Avengers: Infinity War, the crossover event film which will unleash Thanos on planet Earth of Marvel Cinematic Universe, causing great trouble to the Mightiest Heroes of the planet.
It’s a mega street fight broken into two separate halves, considering the mysterious Avengers 4 which will release next year. When it comes out, it will apparently usher in a grand finale for our superheroes, a finale that will reshape the MCU that we have been familiar with.
Why do we say so? By the time Avengers 4 comes out, Thanos would be controlling all six Infinity Stones, which means that the greatest powers of this universe will be clinched by that huge, purple hand of the Mad Titan. All that has led to rumors about flashbacks, various timelines, and greatly different roles of the Avengers. Such rumors became more credible after these photos by Just Jared, which show the four senior Avengers, i.e., Captain America, Iron-Man, a befuddled Hulk, and Ant-Man. Quite an impressive foursome, right? There is a lot more to understand here, because Captain America is seen in his costume from the 2012 film The Avengers (and also his argument with Stark), then there is Stark’s hairstyle which has strands of blonde and grey sprinkled around RDJ’s head, and it is rumoured that this scene is based in an alternate timeline, which showed Ant-Man help them beat the Chitauri during the Battle of New York.
Sticking to this concept, it will also clarify the disheveled look of Bruce Banner? It might be possible that he wasn’t a part of the original plan of Nick Fury.
To be honest, it is all a bit confusing, however, if time travel is taken into account in the narrative of Avengers 4, then Joe and Anthony Russo could wrap up their work aware of the fact that they have left a clean slate for upcoming films such as Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. As of now, we can consider all these things to be pure speculations as there are still almost 17 months to go before the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War comes out.
