The American actress, Kim Dickens, is popularly known for her role as Sherry in the film Things Behind the Sun and Madison Clark in the television series, Fear the Walking Dead. She was born on 18th June in 1965 in Huntsville, Alabama, in the U.S. Her parents are Justine Dickens and Pam Howell.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Vanderbilt University. After moving to New York City, she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and she completed her graduation from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

She made her stage debut in a student production, Sexual Perversity in Chicago. She made her professional acting debut in 1995 with the film Palookaville. She acted as Sarah Kennedy in the movie Hollow Man in 2000.

She came to prominence after playing Sherry’s role in the film Things Behind the Sun in 2001, and she also got nominated for an award for the film. In 2006, she appeared playing the role of a counselor in the movie, Wild Tigers I Have Known.

The year 2014 saw her performance in the character of Detective Rhonda Boney in the film Gone Girl. She did her best in the movie Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, in which she played the character, Maryann Portman in 2016.

In 2019, she starred as Gladys Hamer in The Highwaymen. Dickens made her first appearance on the television in 1995 with the series, New York News. From 2004-2006, she played the role of Joanie Stubbs in the series, Deadwood.
