Justice League is all set to hit the theaters this week, and early reports suggest that the mega team up film from DC is already edging out Wonder Woman as far as the ticket presales on Fandango are concerned.
Box Office Pro has reported that Justice League has a 97 out of 100 “Fanticipation” rating on Fandango right now, which is outstanding and it augurs well for the opening weekend of Justice League.
We are listing below some more numbers related to the demographics of Justice League ticket sales so far:
- 89% are fans of DC Entertainment.
- 84% saw “Wonder Woman” on the big screen.
- 80% are excited by the lighter tone of “Justice League.”
- 66% are fans of Jason Momoa from “Game of Thrones.”
- Fans chose Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Momoa) as their most anticipated characters in “Justice League.”
Warner Bros. and DC Films are strongly keeping a hold on the release day build up to Justice League. Social media responses were minutely short-listed before getting published online; official reviews are held back until very close to the release; and even the Justice League Rotten Tomatoes score has been kept under wraps so far. Considering the past of DC Films releases and criticism, we have no clue as to what makes Warner Bros hold things back with so much control on the release. We wonder if it is an effort to do damage control in anticipation of a deluge of poor reviews.
