Is it possible that we might get an animated Justice League reunion film? The talks are on right now, and if you wish for it, then you need to help the cast. The Cartoon Network Justice League TV series is probably the best adaptation of the DC superhero team from the comics to the screen. Zack Snyder (partly Joss Whedon’s) Justice League has failed. The cast is now open to a reunion. However, they are asking fans to support them in catching Warner Bros. attention.
The Twitter handle of The Animated Justice League stated that they had a talk with Susan Eisenberg, the lady who voiced Wonder Woman on the Justice League animated series. She seems to be keen to do a reunion film with other members of the original cast. Thus, the twitter account has decided to raise support online for the film. This is what they said:
“I have spoken with @susaneisenberg1, and She told me, if we want a Justice League animated movie with the original cast, we need to let WB know. Tweet @WBHomeEnt with the hashtag #JLReunion Also, Andrea Romano will even come out of retirement to direct it!”
#JLReunion”
Susan Eisenberg streamlined things by checking in on the replies and also liked the above tweet. Further, Kevin Conroy “one true Batman,” who has given the voice for Batman in Batman: The Animated Series as well as Justice League animated series, also came out in support of the reunion film. He had a brief, but, clear response when he re-tweeted the campaign with a “Yes!” Thus, two of the main characters from the series have formally joined the call. We don’t see a reason why others from the Justice League show won’t support the call. After all, they are all associated with the project and have a great tie with DC and the characters that they have portrayed.
Another key aspect of the tweet is that Andrea Romano is keen to direct. Casual animation fans might not recall her by name, but, she is an iconic animation director who has handled a lot of DC projects earlier including the Justice League cartoon. She has got eight Emmys and a lot of other awards for her work. The fact that she is keen to come out of retirement to make this film as confirmed in the tweet’s replies is a tribute to the project.
Animated DC films generally do well, and aJustice League animated film is bound to do great. DC will start their own streaming service in 2018, and they need content for it. It would be awesome if they launch it and this new Justice League animated film debuts exclusively on the new streaming service. It would help building attention to it in the initial days. So, in case you do want to support Animated Justice League to get this Justice League film made, then you need to start going after Warner Bros. We have seen fan campaigns succeed in the past. That was how we had got Deadpool. Therefore, don’t doubt the potential of such campaigns.
