Lucas was born on September 24, 1985, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her mother is Euro-Canadian, and her father is Black Canadia. Lucas has been interested in acting from an early age. She started working when she was seven and took acting courses in Children’s Arts Theatre School in Toronto.
