J.J Abrams did something special with Star Wars that he couldn’t do with his efforts on Star Trek, he completely swept Star Wars fans off their their feet by giving them Episode VII! The Force Awakens has made Billions of Dollars worldwide and opened up a large passage for a plethora of Star Wars sequels, prequels, spin-offs, toys, games, virtual reality and what not? However, his involvement with Episode VIII is not so much because he is just producing the movie and currently, we can’t pin his name on any of the confirmed future Star Wars content…
One of the interesting parts of Episode VII was the concept of “The Knights Of Ren” that was introduced by J.J Abrams and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan. The Knights Ren are a Dark Force group that actuates the agenda of their Supreme Leader Snoke. According to the canon novel- “The Force Awakens”, the Knights Of Ren are the ones who destroyed Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Training Academy and killed all prospective Jedi students. Kylo Ren is the team leader of the group, the appearance of the Knights Of Ren is made viewable only for a few seconds during Rey’s vision scene. In the movie a total of 7 of The Knights of Ren were shown including Kylo Ren. But in the canon novel, they have revealed seven more Knights. The only people who know the backstory of the Knights are Kasdan and Abrams, these characters have been teased so much right from the beginning that the whole internet goes nuts even if a little info is released about them.
