The filming has begun for the third season of Marvel Netflix series, Daredevil.
Earlier this year, a report had indicated that the season was slated to begin production on October 15th and come to a close by June 30th, and now due to public notice signs shared on Twitter yesterday, we know that Daredevil is back to filming in New York.
As seen in these photos, two brightly-colored “no parking” signs have been posted indicating that a movie will be shooting along these streets at 6 a.m. on Monday, November 13th and will continue until Thursday, November 16th. The sign indicates that the project shooting is “Ringside S3” and as fans may recall, “Ringside” was the working title for the show’s second season.
News of the series filming comes a few days after Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the Kingpin of crime, Wilson Fisk in the series, had taken to Twitter and shared that the first reading for the show’s third season was in place.
With the turnaround for Netflix shows being 3-4 months, if Daredevil shoots through the end of June 2018, fans are hopeful that it will hit the streaming service in the fall of next year, given events of The Defenders. The crossover series had seen Matthew Murdock (Charlie Cox) appear to die in the collapse of the Hand’s Midland Circle building, though the end of the series revealed that Murdock was alive and in the care of a “Sister Maggie.” The setup of the final scene hints that Daredevil’s third season will take on the “Born Again” storyline by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli in the comics, a story that had seen Daredevil run through the ringer by Kingpin.
Daredevil’s third season is rumored to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2018.
