Bringing the sense of the turtles to life on the big screen was no easy job. It actually needed three puppeteers to monitor his movements, including that of Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash who also voiced Splinter.
8. Jim Henson wasn’t happy with the violence in the movie.
Jim Henson was the one behind the turtle costumes. Even though his company was credited for the best reptilian portrayals ever seen, he was not at all happy about the finished product, citing the violence as utterly excessive, that didn’t cater to his taste.
