Actress Judith Hoag had come out and said that she did enjoy throughout the whole shoot, but she wasn’t satisfied with the end product. She claims that one of the producers had insisted upon the fact, that the cuts were required to eliminate the unnecessary fluff, and that the younger generation was more invested in fighting scenes. She still disagrees with his approach.
This was one of the primary reasons why she didn’t reprise her role in the sequel, Secret of the Ooze. Also, she wanted a raise. Things didn’t turn out favorably for her.
6. Sam Rockwell gives a shout out to the comic’s creators.
During the scene, where Sam Rockwell’s character asks the police to go check out the East Warehouse at Lairdman Island, it was an acknowledging nod to the comic creators: Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
