Disney-Pixar will triumph over Warner Bros. during Thanksgiving at the box office as Coco is all set to dethrone DC Comics’ latest and first ensemble movie, Justice League.
According to a few early estimates, Coco is set to finish around $70 million by Sunday ad Justice League will fall to $60 million. While Justice League has pathetically underperformed, it looks like Coco will exceed the expectations as it had been originally set to make $55-60 million, but has way surpassed this limit.
On Wednesday, Coco had raked in $13 million, and Justice League fell very short at $10.5 million. The Zack Snyder movie has a domestic total of $122.4 million and has made over $307 million worldwide. The movie is set to lose Warner Bros. $50-$100 million.
Justice League is now in theatres and stars Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ciarán Hinds (Steppenwolf), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) and J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon).
