She enrolled to study acting in California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), graduating in 2006 with a BFA in theatre. After this, she shifted her base to Chicago. In Chicago, she joined Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. She followed it up with a gig on a cruise ship with other Second City members for four months.
