It has been quite some time since fans have been waiting to know about Blade’s official MCU debut. Now, a new fan-made trailer has given an interesting twist to the whole thing.

YouTuber Stryder HD has shared a Blade 4: Underworld fan trailer. As hinted by the title, the movie brings together Marvel’s in-house Vampire buster and Seline (Kate Beckinsale), the lead character of Sony’s Underworld movies.

The video has merged the two franchises in a highly enticing way, shuttling back and forth between the footage of Blade trilogy, the Underworld movies and some other monster movies as well as fan films.

Although this Blade – Underworld crossover is a bit unrealistic, there have been rumors in the past about such a thing. During an event last year, Beckinsale had stated that the crossover nearly happened, but, Marvel Studios backed out as they had more ideas about their character.

“No. We had that idea. No,” Beckinsale had said. “They’re busy. They’re doing something with Blade.”

What could that plan be? Earlier in June, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, suggested that they were keen to introduce Blade into the MCU, but, there were no ready plans to do that.

“I think Blade is a legacy character now,” Feige explained. “I think it would be fun to do something with him one day.”

John Watts, the director of Spider-Man: Homecoming is clearer in his mind, and he suggested that Blade might be seen helping Peter Parker beat a particular villain.

“Morbius is kind of cool!” Watts stated in July “The tone of the character is pretty dark, but the vampire/Marvel Universe thing is pretty cool. Maybe we could get Blade to show up, too? That’d be neat.”

The latest MCU film to release is Thor: Ragnarok and other upcoming Marvel films are: Black Panther on February 16, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
