Avengers: Infinity War is going to be a gigantic film. It not only features a large group of the mightiest heroes on the planet but, several other characters are also going to support them such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. In case, that was not grand enough; there are going to be supporting characters such as Man-Ape, Wong, Okoye, etc. To sum it up, if you are in MCU and are not dead, then you are going to play a role in this Russo brothers saga for sure.
This is really huge, and while the directors have proven their prowess about handling various characters in Captain America: Civil War, this one is an entirely different level, and we are keen to see how they justify it all. What’s also going to be interesting is to see how the debutantes are handled in MCU. A lot of people will consider the entry of Doctor Strange to be a huge element in Avengers: Infinity War. He was brought on-screen superbly by Benedict Cumberbatch in November, and now he has become a strong favorite of fans and audiences can’t wait to see him again on the big screen.
Fortunately, the Sorcerer Supreme is set to feature in Thor: Ragnarok too. While he has a tiny role in the film and it is only going to be Avengers: Infinity War which will show him play a sizeable role. Is that true? In January this year, there were rumors suggesting that the scheduling conflicts have resulted in Cumberbatch not being a part of Infinity War at all and Marvel using a filler for most of his visuals with the actor entering towards the end to record a few dialogues and shoot some close-ups.
It all has changed now because Benedict Cumberbatch has already marked his presence on the film’s set in Atlanta and his movement coach Jay Funk confirmed that on Twitter. While this is not a big surprise, his being on the set already means that his part in the movie is going to be more substantial than thought earlier.
Despite that, the film is expected to revolve around the lead cast and characters like Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and others will get their due prominence in Avengers 4. It is already being said that Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the other original Avengers are set to exit the franchise at that point. This will pave the way for the newcomers to take charge. Therefore, we are all set to see a lot more of Benedict Cumberbatch in future MCU films which include another Doctor Strange solo later on.
The Avengers: Infinity War will release in May, next year and its currently untitled sequel will come out in 2019.
