The Avengers Have Reacted To The Justice League Trailer And It Is Hilarious

Justice League’s first full trailer featured a lot of fantastic action, while keeping the major plot and antagonist a mystery. While DCEU followers are happy with the trailer, what do the folks at Marvel think? Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn has voiced his approval and the Avengers have reacted. Not the actors, but the fictional ones.

In the wake of Justice League’s trailer, a talented fan decided to make the DC and MCU movie stars collide through some video editing. Now you can see the heroes of the MCU be horrified as the events of Justice League’ trailer unfurl.

The above video repurposes the footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After a shindig at headquarters, James Spader’s Ultron had delivered threats to the teacm through the building’s video screens. The scene is perfect for the video’s purposes as there are many footages of the Avengers watching a video in horror.

The best moments from the video draw a parallel between Marvel and DC’s heroes. It seems that Tony Stark feels threatened by Batman and Cyborg. When Bruce Wayne says that his superpower is being rich, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark looks offended. When Cyborg suits up and flies, we can see RDJ getting riled up at how similar he is to Iron Man.

The type of humor extends to lesser-known characters like Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. In the moments where Ezra Miller’s Flash shows off his speed, Wanda gets a miffed.

The above video adds a bit of insult to injury as well. Because in addition to the footage from the age of Ultron, there is a scene with Vision from Captain America; Civil War that has been recycled to throw shade at the DCEU. He says, “Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict.”

This feels like a dig to DCEU. While Marvel invented the shared universe, DC followed years later. The 2 are now in a bitter battle for studio supremacy, with MCU sitting as champion with critical and box office performance. Maybe Justice League will be the shot of adrenaline that DCEU needs to compete with the rival.

Justice League will arrive in theaters on November 17th, 2017.
