2012
Leslie joins Harington for the second season if Game of Thrones as Ygritte, a love interest of the member of the Night’s Watch. That August, they are spotted holding hands at dinner, IRL.
2013
The stars maintain space while attending Game Of Thrones The Exhibition in Big Apple in March.
2014
Leslie appears amused during a panel and Q&A at San Diego Comic-Con International and is sandwiched between Harington and John Bradley in July.
Leslie gushed about Harington to People magazine in one interview published the previous month.
“It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable,” said Leslie.
2016
Harington and Leslie then made things red-carpet official at the Olivier Awards in April.
The next month, Vogue Italia carries a story with Harington in which he called filming in Iceland his best memory. It seems his relationship had a lot to do with the experience.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love (with Leslie),” he shares. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, (it) becomes very easy to fall in love…”
During an interview on ITV’s This Morning in August, Leslie gave some insight into how she and Harington make the relationship work despite their busy schedules.
“I suppose you make it work,” she reasoned, adding “FaceTime is a must.”
2017
The couple canoodles in front of photogs on the red carpet for the Olivier Awards in April.
During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Harington fielded a question from Nicole Kidman on if he and Leslie would walk down the aisle.
“I’ve been put on the spot by Nicole Kidman,” a red-faced Harington replied before explaining he was taking his relationship “step by step.”
More than two months before news of their engagement was broken, they attend a premiere of the seventh season of the HBO hit on July 12 in Los Angeles.
