It’s known that Hamill was in a car accident around the time he wrapped up for A New Hope. Furthermore, he endured real facial wounds. From there on, a story has gone around stating that the Wampa assault in Empire Strikes Back was written to represent the changes in the on-screen character’s appearance. However, George Lucas claims it’s only an urban legend.
6. Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?
Luke’s second lightsaber, the green one, was based on his old master Obi-Wan’s laser sword. What’s more, he built the weapon in Kenobi’s home on Tatooine. This was highlighted in an erased scene from Return of the Jedi that at last surfaced for the Blu-beam release around 30 years after it was shot. It was an exquisite weapon for a more civilised age.
