9. Floppy disks and hyper-speed don’t blend
Rogue One occurred prior to A New Hope, yet that doesn’t mean they must be bound to the floppy disk era. In a period where planet-sized force field shields and light-speed space travel are consistent products, you’d think they’d have a superior technique for sharing data than thick gold floppy disks or thumb drives. The only reason they served was to either give everybody a rightful point of doubt about Galen’s hologram message to Saw and Jyn or to increase that time-crunching pressure as the disk went from one hand to the other, with Vader weighing down in the backdrop. This was an awesome minute to watch. Nevertheless…..
