3. Film Was Planned To Be On A Very Low Budget
After losing two of the fundamental characters before he even began, Foster had to write according to a particular set of rules. Since Lucas’ plans to film Splinter had a low budget for the sequel, Foster was told to write scenes that would be very cheap to film. This prompted Splinter being set in caves, inside buildings, or on the surface of the mist covered swamp planet of Mimban. Lucas constrained Foster to cut an exciting battle between Tie Fighters and X-Wings in the event that something goes wrong.
4. No Han Solo
It’s difficult to envision Star Wars without Han Solo. In all honesty, we would prefer truly not to envision it. As it is, Han is the best thing about Star Wars.
