3. Rey
Actually, Rey isn’t a Jedi yet. Nevertheless, she has an awesome lightsaber performance with Kylo Ren. It’s quite possible that she could gain the title before the end of Episode VIII. However, it appears somewhat peculiar to make a point about a plot point that will happen later in the film. Another thing against Rey being the “last Jedi” is that Rey would most likely need to start where Luke left off. We’re referring to the point where he passes on his insight into the Force to others.
4. Jedi of the Past
In his voyage through The Force, Luke got some uncommon assistance from the ghostly version of Obi-Wan Kenobi. With Ewan McGregor being enthusiastic for repeating the part of Kenobi, hypothesis has run wild that Obi-Wan will come back to the series by one means or another. It will be intriguing to see whether Luke would call upon late Jedi masters, like Obi-Wan, Yoda, his dad Anakin Skywalker, and maybe even others he never met like Mace Windu and Qui-Gon Jinn, to help with Rey’s training. This would allude to an older sort of “Last Jedi”, particularly when alluding to Obi-Wan and Yoda. After all, they were the last Jedi who survived the Great Jedi Purge portrayed in Revenge of the Sith.
