5. Joseph Campbell
Campbell was the world-renowned researcher of myth and cleric of the standards on which Lucas developed the franchise. He broadly announced that there was truly one story on which each epic in world history was based. He named it the hero’s journey. Therefore, when you use the word “revamp,” I feel that this is on account of observing two individuals, Luke and Rey, on the same heroic journey. So both Luke and Rey happen to be vagrants on an abandoned planet who face droids. Both reject the call to adventure, and it takes many murders to terrify them into it. However, the similarities end on that note. Beyond that, they take different ways on a similar voyage. Furthermore, while one has a family, the other lives in a corroded AT-AT and eats little amounts of machinery for sustenance. Now, that certainly is different.
