So, who are you a fan of? Hulk? Or Thor?

Yes, this is a debate that has been going on for ages now among the Marvel fans. But what goes unmentioned is that Marvel has had some new superheroes in the recent years, and they are stronger than both, Hulk and Thor.  These new heroes are free from any entanglements with the 20th Century Fox and are theoretically eligible to be introduced in the MCU.

While DC fans are divided on Zack Snyder’s shunned the depiction of Superman, the door maybe open for Marvel to introduce a new character that comic book fans have mocked. If it is, then Kevin Feige has a lot of candidates to choose from.

And who knows what the outcome will be after the Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.  Thor and Hulk, may serve as the front line of Earth’s defense may even find themselves out by the time the credits roll.  If that happens, here are 5 characters that could take their place.

1. HYPERION

Created in 1969, Marcus Milton is the first of Marvel’s attempt to create their version of DC’s Superman.  His power is super strength, flight, and atomic vision. He gets his power from solar energy.  Ever since his debut, Marvel has introduced alternate versions of the character and the most powerful is King Hyperion of Earth-4023.

He is obsessed with his own strength and travels from one dimension to the other to destroy each of the reality’s strongest warriors.  His arrival in the main, 616-Universe was a signal at his doom, and he met defeat at the hands of super-hero with a Superman-like powers.

2. BETA RAY BILL

The genetically modified champion, Beta Ray Bill has defeated Thor many times.  He first came to blows with the Odinson over possession of Mjölnir. Then Odin commissioned Beta Ray his own mystical hammer, Stormbreaker.

After their first battle, they have become allies, but this is only in the world of comics. Yes, Beta Ray Bill fought Hulk in Planet Hulk but one must remember that in Greg Pak’s 2006 Planet Hulk comic, the Green Goliath fought Silver Surfer, not Beta Ray.

3. ZARDA AKA POWER PRINCESS

Let’s go to the Ultimate Universe where Zarda aka Power Princess has brought down the Hulk. Zarda was introduced as a member of the Squadron Supreme, and since then, there have been many versions of her.

She possesses the super powers of strength, flight, and invulnerability and this is what sets her apart. She can absorb the life force of from surrounding organisms.  As long as there are living creatures close by, Zarda cannot be killed.

4.SENTRY

The second clone of Superman is who the fans loved when he was first introduced in 2000. But this soured as he was introduced into the mainstream Marvel Comics.

Sentry the Hulk to a stalemate and regenerated his body after destruction. His weakness is that he is a complete basket. But this is for a good reason.  In Sentry’s psyche is the Void, a dark entity and evil power, greater than its host. Many writers have given the Void a definitive origin. But one thing remains certain. It surely ranks among the most deadly beings and has defeated Thor and Hulk. He has also taken down Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, and X-Men on separate occasions.

5. BLUE MARVEL

Adam Brashear is the most interesting member of this list.  He was created by Kevin Grevioux, and Blue Marvel made a debut in Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel #1. This story explored what it meant to be a black superhero during the Civil Rights Movement.  In the beginning, he was loved by all. But then, his costume was torn in a battle, revealing that the greatest superhero of that era is African-American.  This leads him to retire so that he does not inflame the tense nation which is concerned about the rising black power.

Forty years down the line, he returns to help The Avengers and demonstrates that he is in his prime. He then goes on to defeat Sentry and King Hyperion. He may create an anti-matter, a substance that equals two times the power of any nuclear bomb.
