5. ‘Star Wars’ Land Leading to Closure of Some of the Most Iconic Attractions
Frequent visitors know that how much of a pain in the neck overcrowding at Disneyland. Thanks to Star Wars Land it is only going to get worse. The people in charge of that seem to be aware of that and hence they are planning to alleviate that by temporarily or permanently shutting down some of the rides. A report by The Los Angeles Times in December 2015 says that 14 percent of the attractions will be closed for good or temporarily during construction. The rides in question include the famous Disneyland Railroad, which has been an attraction at the park since day one.
Some of the rides that are already closed permanently includes, The Big Thunder Jamboree and petting zoo while Tom Sawyer Island and the popular Fantasmic! show have been closed temporarily. The closures began on January 11 (Orange County Register).
In July, Disney Parks that Fantasmic! and the other temporarily closed rides will reopen in the summer of 2017.
