Many fans will tell you that Fett’s first appearance on screen ever was amid the Star Wars Holiday Special that broadcast in 1978 on CBS. However, Boba Fett’s first open appearance was, oddly enough, was on September 24, 1978, at the San Anselmo County Fair parade. It is, San Anselmo was the home of Lucasfilm at the time and George Lucas had a craving for having the characters parade in the fair. Duwayne Dunham was the man in the armor. He was also the assistant film editor for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. He remembers the day of the parade being madly hot and he was sweating profusely. However, bunches of individuals still took autographs despite the fact that they had no clue his identity.
4. George Lucas Though That fans Would Not Like Him
George Lucas had no clue that fans would love Boba Fett to such an extent. Lucas later communicated his surprise and said Fett was, “just another one of the minions” in the Return of the Jedi commentary track. According to Lucas, they should have made a greater deal of his death.
