3. Pre Vizsla
Technically speaking, in animation or productions heavy on visual effects, there’s an early step in the filmmaking process which is there to help storytellers get a visual idea of what a scene will look like. In the industry, it is known as previsualization, or “pre-vis” for short. So, if you follow the trend with the earlier two characters, you already know that this name is a product of lack of imagination on the writer’s part.The Clone Wars used pre-vis for every episode it produced.
This guy is the head of the ancient Mandalorian warrior cult Death Watch, on Clone Wars. It is easy to imagine a writer being stuck for a name, and decided, “Ah, I’ll just make a name out of a production term. No one will know…” and hence…
The name lives and carries on in Star Wars Rebels. In it, it is revealed that Sabine Wren is a member of House Vizsla – a heritage she’s known not to be proud of.
4. Moralo Eval
What the heck is it with clone wars and all these weirdo character names? Here is yet another sample but this one was a real piece of work. A person who is named after moral and evil can’t be good right? True. But this one surpasses all expectation. But just how evil was Mr. Eval? He is a career criminal. As a child he murdered his own mother just because he was “bored.” As his timeline is a testament, he got worse from there.
