Justice League has hit the theatres and brought in a whole lot of mixed feelings. The views on the movie seem to polarizing. On the one hand, some fans think that the movie is art and brings in nostalgia to the big screen. On the other hand, we have critics that are lambasting this new movie and call it a mediocre.
But we can all agree that Zack Snyder has a huge vision. He is a visionary, and his foresight for DCEU was unparalleled. But his vision was just way too high up there.
During the filming of Justice League, Snyder’s daughter had passed away, and he had to leave the movie midway. Whedon then took the reins and edited this movie. Here are 10 of the most important scenes from the trailer that never made it to the theatres:
10. Batman riding a horse
When Superman dies, and the threat of Steppenwolf and the parademons looms over the earth, Bruce Wayne takes a journey round the world looking for superheroes to help protect the Earth. The village where he wants to go to is remote, and the only way to access it is by horseback.
9. Badass Aquaman Shots
Aquaman is a debatable character. His powers are extremely useless in the comic books. But when Momoa dons Aquaman’s mantle for the cool shots in the trailer, fans cannot help but shout – ”MY MAN!!!”.
8. Backstory of Cyborg
The scenes involving Victor Stone and how he meets with an accident never makes it to the movie. Victor Stone in football gear playing for the college team is cut out from the theatrical version.
7. Flash breaking the glass
Barry Allen makes for a great comic character in the movie. His timing is perfect, and he has the best punchlines. One super shot of Barry breaking the glass by vibrating his finger using speed force is not in the movie either. Even Iris West was not there in the final movie.
6. Snyder Humor
The first Justice League teaser had shown how Snyder had involved his version of humor into the movie. The rewrites did not even include Batman’s famous “My Turn” dialogue.
5. Cyborg saves a cop from a flaming tank
A scene from the trailer had shown a flaming tank being hurled away as a cop is about to get caught in its trajectory. Cyborg swoops in and saves the Cop and giving out a worthy one-liner.
4. Cyborg goes air-borne
A shot where Cyborg takes flight and manifests a mask to protect his face is excluded. Another shot where Cyborg is seen flying past as the moon hovers in the background does not make it to the theatres.
3. “I will take that as a yes.”
The scene from the second trailer which had broken the internet did not make it to the movie. Clark and Lois are standing on the Kent farm, and Clark agrees to Lois’s proposal to marry.
2. Wonder Woman’s “Shall We” moment
A scene is shown with Cyborg and Aquaman in the background as Wonder Woman leaps in front of them and says “Shall We”.
1. Alfred meeting the mystery man
Who was the guy Alfred was talking to at the end of the trailer? Some said it was Green Lantern. But now, we will NEVER know. Can you believe this scene did not even make it to the theatres?
