8. Casio C-80 Calculator Watch: 1980
Calculator watches became more popular once Casio dropped its number- crunching wristband. It was “the watch that replaces everything.” The C-80 liberated us from computing numbers on the stylus-driven brilliant watches of the time. It had larger buttons to make calculation easier. What’s more, it was found with every geek, playboy, sports jock and teacher in your secondary school because of its being fashionable.
7. Nintendo Game Boy: 1989
Some may call it unreasonable to place Nintendo’s gaming system on this rundown. Others will grumble over its positioning. Yet, amid its six-month run, the Game Boy bogarted the handheld gaming scene and made everybody mull over those mediocre Tiger game systems. Final Fantasy Legend, Super Mario Land and Tetris were all we required to pass time in class or on the train. What’s more, as we saw, the Game Boy went ahead to have a more predominant run in the ’90s.
