11. SPLINTER OF THE MIND’S EYE
Splinter of the Mind’s Eye is a standout to say the least. The novel turned out in 1978, soon after the first film and two years before The Empire Strikes Back debuted. The book was initially expected to function as a low budget spin-off of Star Wars in case the primary motion picture didn’t do well. Higher-budgeted characters like Han Solo and Obi Wan were not to be seen anywhere, and Luke and Leia were the only primary characters from the film in the novel.
The story is based on Luke and Leia who are on a mystery mission to convince the people of Circarpous IV to join the rebel organization. En route, they are compelled to crash land on a swampy planet. Obviously, the two Rebels are sought after by Darth Vader and a band of Imperials. They finally find out that Vader is in search of a mystery Kaiburr Crystal and are swung into a race against the Sith Lord to get it before he does. Slpinter of the Mind’s was the first ever book in the huge Extended Universe that follow for quite a long time later.
10. THE NEW JEDI ORDER SERIES
This is the biggest single book series on our rundown. As it is, The New Jedi Order books numbered an incredible nineteen in totality. The story is set twenty years after the destruction of the second Death Star. A New Republic has replaced the Empire, with Luke Skywalker and his order of Jedi going about as its guardians. Obviously, peace doesn’t last long for this juvenile government. All through the series, the offspring of Han and Leia experienced some great character arcs. The series likewise had the epic-yet-questionable demise of a standout amongst the most darling Star Wars characters ever. You’ll need to read to discover who!
