Star Wars fans loved Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Everybody is unanimous about that. The film brought forward a brand new generation and grandly revamped the franchise on the big screen. The old timers would have spotted several similarities between the J.J. Abrams movie and A New Hope, more so case of the plot and themes of the films.

The time is close for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and people wonder if the Rian Johnson will be similar to The Empire Strikes Back. There is going to be a temptation for sure since that film is reputed to be one of the all-time greatest sequels. Apart from that, the previews of Episode VIII indicate that there will be a good bit of Empire shadow in the film. Yet, it is very much possible that the movie will have its own independent narrative.

Let’s hope that is how things are. However, the latest trailer doesn’t help in any way. It is nearly a shorter edition of the latest trailer; there is a slice of fresh visuals showing Rey in the vicinity of Force tree on Ahch-To. Since it looks identical, it should be so because that’s how we had seen Luke approach the cave on Dagobah in Empire Strikes Back and the landscape even then was similarly dark and hazy.

Apart from that, it is all rehashed footage, and the only thing that this promo does is to suggest that the marketing blitzkrieg is about to be unleashed. With under two months to go for the Episode VIII to zoom into the theatres, we feel that the studio is geared up to present the film in a grand style. That means a flood of TV spots, photos, and web stories are going to come up in the next few weeks. To sum it up, it is the best time for a Star Wars fan.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is touted to create a balance between the “familiar with the unfamiliar” and create the base for fresh guidelines, and it comes out on December 15th. The film will be rapidly followed by the Han Solo movie by Ron Howard, and then Episode IX will release on December 20th, 2019 coinciding with the Wonder Woman2  from Warner Bros.
