Things have been kind of slow on the Star Wars news front as of late

But thanks to a new source of Star Wars awesomeness we picked up a new tidbit. A recent interview with Ridley lead to some Star Wars Ep VIII questions of course, and it answered at least one important question that a lot of us are asking ourselves.

“Who are Rey’s parents in the new Star Wars trilogy, Or at least, Who aren’t they?” We all want something to talk about with the movie being a little over a year away. At least I do.

The website Vulture held the interview with Daisy Ridley about a film she is narrating called The Eagle Huntress, and of course the conversation lead into Star Wars Ep VIII. And the mysteries about Rey’s Lineage. Who are the new female Heroin’s parents? Is Luke her father? Is she a Kenobi? Is she a descendent of the evil Emperor Palpatine?  There are so many theories it can make your head spin. But we all want to know!

Whatever theory you believe or want to be believe, we have a promise from Daisy that this secret will be answered in Ep VIII, in December of 2017.

“We will see in a year. Just sit tight on that question.” Daisy replied…

That’s pretty exciting news! Considering, we were thinking we wouldn’t be getting the answer to this until the last episode of the new Star Wars trilogy. Ridley was also asked about the rumors that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was Rey’s mother, But she shut it down saying this…

“I mean, I think historically it wouldn’t work, because she is … Darth Vader is there …  so she would ultimately be my great-grandma; no, she would be my grandma. I mean it could happen, especially in a galaxy far, far away.”

Let’s hear from you, do you think we will get the answer to the question in Ep VIII? Who do you think Rey’s parents are? Check out the comment section below and share this with your friends. Let’s get a good theory going…
