It must be an extremely troublesome thing to be an actor in a Star Wars motion picture nowadays. As it is, people are continually going to ask questions related to it. However, with the secrecy of Lucasfilm, particularly with reference to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it is difficult to give answers with any substance to them. Yet, Adam Driver figured out how to give us something great recently, saying that some “new rules” will be brought into a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars 8.

The performing artist, who essays the role of Kylo Ren in the new Star Wars trilogy, recently told The Huffington Post about some great deeds he accomplished for a military family. Adam Driver took a moment to speak about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and clarified that director Rian Johnson is getting some new rules. He further stated that he is playing both the familiar and unfamiliar new to this film. This is what he said;

“[Johnson] created new rules for the Star Wars universe and balanced the familiar and unfamiliar very adeptly while respecting that his audience can handle ambiguity. Which you can see in his previous films. Characters and story are his priority.”

In case you’ve seen any of Rian Johnson’s films, Looper and Brick specifically, what Adam Driver said in regards to character and story being his priority certainly is a genuine proclamation.

Indeed, even in a quite high-fi science fiction motion picture like Looper, he could create convincing characters and toss in a couple of intriguing twists in with the general mish-mash. It seems as if he may have the capacity to accomplish something similar with Star Wars 8 and that is exactly what fans require at this moment.

As much as everybody enjoyed Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there have been many who feel it reflected Star Wars: A New Hope too much and want to see something fresh. Rian Johnson has effectively guaranteed us that Star Wars: The Last Jedi isn’t going to be a re-tread of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Therefore, we don’t need to stress over that. There will, without a doubt, be a few parallels and it was recently whispered that the film will end on a cliff-hanger, similar to how The Empire Strikes Back did. Nevertheless, as it is, a lot of second portions in trilogies end on cliff-hangers.

As far as what these “new rules” could be, they are dubious at this point. Nevertheless, it is truly intriguing thing for fans to contemplate. We aren’t going to find any answers until the film touches base on 15th December. However, we may get a few clues when the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer arrives, which will be soon. A trailer has been appraised and ought to touch base amid either D23 or San Diego Comic-Con one month from now.
