Tom Cruise seemed to be the only one shooting for Mission: Impossible 6 ever since the production began back in April this year. The 54-year-old could be seen greeting his fans between takes and flaunting a few a stunt scenes. A couple of days ago, director Christopher McQuarrie revealed a few photos of Henry Cavill and he looks astonishing. He also revealed the first look photos of Angela Bassett, appearing in the franchise for the first time, and also of Ving Rhames who has appeared in all the six movies of the franchise.

The director took to Instagram to show Henry Cavill’s look in the movie. Cavill was donning the same mustache look that McQuarrie revealed through a photo while shooting in Paris. Just before the Memorial Day holiday, McQuarrie had confirmed that their next shooting destination is in New Zealand. No details about how long the shoot will continue in New Zealand were disclosed.

Henry Cavill is expected to fulfill the vacant role of Jeremy Renner in Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol and Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. Renner had to leave Mission: Impossible due to his role in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and his return remains uncertain.

The new entrant, Angela Bassett, is expected to play the role of new CIA director. The cast will also have Rebecca Ferguson who debuted in Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation as Ilsa Faust, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn the tech wizard and Sean Harris as Solomon Lane. Vanessa Kirby has also been a part of the shoot but details of her role have not been disclosed.

After directing Rogue Nation, Christopher McQuarrie will be the first to direct two movies in the franchise. The other four parts have been directed by four different directors- Brian De Palma (1), John Woo (2), J. J. Abrams (3), and Brad Bird (4). Same has been the case with the role of IMF head in the movie which was played by a different actor in every part.

So, the photos look interesting and point towards another Tom Cruise hit in the making. The movie is expected to roll out somewhere in 2018.
