Marvel’s, Kevin Feige has recently confirmed when Captain Marvel will join Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow as a part of the MCU. While the writing was on the wall for our beloved Carol Danvers in the 4th Avengers ensemble, Feige has recently confirmed that she will be a part of Avengers 4.

This means that after her introduction in a solo movie, Danvers shall fly in and help save the day in the second round with Thanos. She will then carry fans through to the next chapter and “phase.”

In an interview with IndieWire, Feige had discussed the future of the fairer gender in MCU and then reiterated that Larson shall play a big part in Captain Marvel’s movie:

The focus now is on delivering Captain Marvel, and then bringing Captain Marvel’s story into the finale of everything we’ve started thus far.”

Very little is known about Avengers 4, and while we are promised a few deaths, Captain Marvel is now on the roster of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The Russo Brothers had confirmed that the heroine ould not be making it in time for Infinity War, which had left many fans disappointed.

With a recent increase in popularity for female-first movies like Wonder Woman and with DC honing in on a Batgirl solo, the MCU has some catching up to do. When he was asked about other female-led movies in a post-Phase 3 cosmos, Feige had remained coy:

There are a lot of discussions, they all focus on the post-Phase Three, Avengers 4 film, so nothing that we’ll get into publicly. We’re really focusing on Captain Marvel and the work that [directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck] are doing. It’s going to be a big part of heading towards this epic conclusion and epic finale of 22 movies over the course of 10 years. That is focus for the next six movies we have to finish and get out.

Captain Marvel will be the first movie on Marvel’s slate to be led by a woman. MCU stars like Tessa Thompson hope for an all-girl movie like Charlie’s Angels.

Although there was a possible nod to Danvers in 2016’s Doctor Strange, the MCU has been keeping mum on where the Air Force female will be hiding for 20 movies.
