Well, Iron Man has been having a rough time as of late. The character had a public falling out with his teammates in Captain America: Civil War. Once Thanos arrives on Earth, things will be different. Mad Titan is gunning to destroy the galaxy. And Iron Man may get a change of heart when it comes to the superhero lifestyle. And we mean, literally.

Robert Downey Jr. has shared a set photo of himself from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. In the image, he stands next to Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau. But what grabs the viewer’s attention is Downey’s shirt.

The actor wears a jacket around his neck, but it’s no fashion as it seems to try and cover up a new arc reactor that is centered in his chest.

The new arc reactor seems to be bigger and less triangular. It looks bulkier than anything the character has used before.

Fans were teased about the return of Iron Man’s arc reactors. This was a picture of Downey which was posted where he eats with co-stars. There was a large hole cut into the costume’s chest. This left the fans confused because Tony had his reactor surgically removed by the end of Iron Man 3.

Apart from Dormammu, there has not been a greater threat than Thanos. The Mad Titan will do anything to wield the Infinity Gauntlet. His formidable power may force Tony to power- his Iron Man suits. If Tony wants to fight in space and push the suits to the absolute limit, Iron Man will need to reinstall the arc reactor. This will help him take Thanos down.

But it looks like Iron Man will turn himself into a weapon once again. We hope that he manages to avoid getting hit with any shrapnel.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 is set to hit theaters in 2019.

Avengers and allies have protected the world from threats that too huge for any single hero to handle. But now a new danger has emerged-Thanos. His aim is to collect all the six Infinity and use them to inflict his will on reality. Everything that the Avengers fought for has led up to this day. And the fate of the Earth has never been more uncertain.
