Star Wars fans spent Force Friday to get their hands on many Porg-related items. Ron Howard, replacement director on Han Solo spinoff Movie, took to social media to announce that Paul Bettany had joined the film.

The initial tweet was vague and did not clarify whether Bettany, was on set to shoot or was stopping by.

A follow-up tweet confirmed that they were working together on the film.

The pair worked together on A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code.

Slashfilm reports that Bettany will be taking over the role played by Michael K. Williams who had dropped out due to conflicts in schedule.

The extensive reshoots were not accounted for when Williams filmed his role, so he could not come back to shoot new scenes. Howard reached out to him to play the character in these new scenes.

The character was originally going to have a few motion-capture and CGI components, but it appears like the character will just be human without CGI elements.

The Han Solo film hits the screens on May 25, 2018, the same month in which Bettany will also appear in Avengers: Infinity War as Vision.
