Amy Dumas was born on 14th April 1975, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US. She started her career on the independent circuit, briefly working on the same. After that, she participated in the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) before signing a WWE developmental deal.

She was with WWE from 2000 to 2006, following which she has made part-time appearances on WWE. It was at WWE that Amy Dumas first befriended Hardy Boyz, Matt, and Jeff Hardy. Together, the trio formed Team Xtreme.

In 2000, Dumas bagged the first WWE Women’s Championship title against Stephanie. She repeated her success three more times; her second one, the bout against arch-rival, Stratus, turned out to be one of the best Women’s Championship matches in WWE history.
