7 Major 80s Toons Are Being Rebooted in 2018 and 2019.


If you count all the reboot projects on which Hollywood is working right now, you are going to get baffled! There are currently 103 reboots in works! Yep, you heard it right, one hundred and three projects. A lot of these reboots are 80’s cartoons that are being produced to cash out on the Nostalgia element. Not all of them are going to be a big hit because you can’t win the whole battle just by swinging nostalgia, there are hell lot of other elements in play to make a reboot movie or series to be successful. These are the major 80s toon reboot movies and TV series coming to us in 2017, 2018 and 2019, check them out to know if your favorite cartoons from childhood are coming back once again or not.

1. Duck Tales

This is one of the best cartoon shows ever created by Disney.  People have been dying to dive into the mesmerizing and mysterious world of Uncle Scrooge Mc-duck once again. Currently, Disney fighting tooth and nails to rope in the best writers to bring back the Duck Tales with same quality and charisma to our TV screens as a series. We will get to hear an announcement anytime soon from Disney officially.

How can we forget those exotic rides of the space and science in the Magical School bus? This show not only introduced us to an exhilarating hi-tech world but also taught us a few things about science along the way, and planted the science worm in all of us. Magical School bus is supposed to come back on our TV screens by 2017. There have been some good developments happening on this project to actualize it.

  1. You do know that Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, and Powerpuff Girls have been rebooted recently, right? Thundercats was a few years ago but still. Did you even Google any of these titles to see if they had been rebooted already?
