I think everyone knows that Rey has unbelievable powers that she doesn’t even comprehend. But the real question is, “What will she do with those powers? We were given only a glimpse into what she was capable of in Star Wars The Force Awakens. And what was given was pretty amazing. ]
Let’s look at it; she single-handedly almost killed Kylo Ren! A Dark Lord, who may not be fully trained, but he has way more experience than this newbie (Rey).
So the question as to what path Rey will follow in Star Wars Ep VIII is a very important is indeed very important to the future of the Star Wars Galaxy of movies coming out over the next years. Will she follow the path of the Jedi? Or will she become a Sith? Will Kylo Ren get his way and bring her aboard the “Snoke Train” or will Master Luke become her teacher? Will she go to the “The Light” or “The Dark”
Sure the map that was hidden within R2 led her to Master Luke, But what will happen now? Luke has obviously been through a lot. He pretty much lost control of Kylo Ren and watched him go insane, while blaming himself for this. So, will he be ready for an apprentice? Who knows?
From what it looks like she is someone very special, Luke’s daughter, Obi-Wan’s granddaughter? We do not know and there are theories everywhere that are very convincing.
But if the writers stick to what we think they will, we are going with the theory that she WILL follow the light and bring some type of balance to a lost Jedi religion. And bring Master Luke out of hiding.
Either way, she is someone very special, maybe more special than Luke himself. She is not only Force sensitive, but is already adapted to controlling powers that it took Luke tons of intense training to even come close to!
