Batman and Wolverine are extremely dark and brooding heroes in DC and Marvel comic books. They are the subject of debates among fans on who would win if they were to fight each other.

The pair merged to form a single character – Dark Claw, in Amalgam comic books, which shows how they are spoken of in the same breath. So, in a fight in which both of them are going all-out to defeat the other, let us see who wins.

Strength

Neither Batman or Wolverine have super-strength. But given that they are comic book characters, they have many feats of strength that are superhuman in the real world – and they are similar regarding strength.

Batman has used strength to stop moving cars, he has bench-pressed 1000lbs, and he has punched through brick walls.

Wolverine has lifted and thrown huge men across a room, he carried many grown men at the same time, and he has held up an elevator and pulled a great white shark out of the sea into a boat.

Winner: Tie.

Durability

Batman and Wolverine can take a lot of punishment than an average human, but there is a winner regarding who can take the most.

Batman, of course, has his armor. It is far from invulnerable but allows him to tank physical and energy attacks up to some level. But hits from characters with super-strength will hurt him.

Wolverine wears no armor, and he takes to damage a lot easier than Batman. Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton is indestructible and allows him to absorb more punishment. He has taken hits from the likes of Hulk and the Hulkbuster armor and walked through Omega’s beams.

Speed

Neither Batman or Wolverine have super-speed, but they both have enhanced speed in comparison to the average human.

Batman has removed Green Lantern’s power ring, and the latter did not even see it happen. He had outrun explosions and had caught a grenade and thrown it before it exploded.

Wolverine has dodged bullets from point-blank on many occasions. He has landed punches on super-quick characters like Speed Demon.

Winner: Wolverine.

Other Powers

Batman and Wolverine do not have high-level “powers” but that they have other abilities that will be useful in a fight.

Batman does not have powers at all. But he has a utility belt and armour, which contain gadgets that he can use against Wolverine. He has flash grenades, tazer, tear gas, batarangs, and sonic grenades.

Wolverine has the healing factor. Even high-level damage can be healed within moments. He has an adamantium skeleton which includes sharp adamantium claws which also means that he is indestructible.

But Batman is more versatile, but it is questionable as to if his gadgets could do much to Wolverine.

Winner: Batman.

Weaknesses

Batman and Wolverine do not have specific weaknesses, but they are vulnerable to many kinds of attack.

Both can be beaten down with crude physical attacks although it takes more to put Wolverine down.

Both are susceptible to mind-control, powerful energy attacks, and type of offensive move.

But the fact remains that neither man has a specific weakness to speak of, so this particular round is relatively moot.

Winner: Tie.

Conclusion

Batman and Wolverine are evenly matched. But there is a factor in the outcome of this fight.

Wolverine is skilled, so it is not as if Batman can outdo him. Wolverine’s durability and healing factor will be too much for Batman, and he could plough through any of Batman’s attacks.

Wolverine’s superior speed would be a key to the outcome of the battle.

Winner: Wolverine.
