There is not going to be a lot of waiting to get the first glimpse of The Incredibles 2. A lot of people expected Disney and Pixar to unveil the first look of the highly anticipated sequel in summer during D23, but, it didn’t happen. Although Disney presented the film at the event, they didn’t reveal any footage to the public. That would change soon as the first teaser trailer for The Incredibles 2 is all set to arrive when Pixar’s Coco releases in theaters on November 22.
A recent report has confirmed that The Incredibles 2 trailer has been rated, which means that Disney would release it soon. Coco happens to be the next film on their release schedule, and it is also a Pixar film. Thus, we expect the trailer to be revealed so that it plays just before Coco in the film’s opening weekend. Although, there is no scheduled release date for the trailer, but, we expect the release to happen a couple of days before Coco releases. Therefore, with a bit of luck, we shall see the first visuals of The Incredibles 2 in a little more than a week.
Brad Bird has spent quite some time now working on The Incredibles sequel, and it is one of the most anticipated sequels from Pixar. Fans have been demanding it for a long time, and although the real world would have advanced by 14 years by the time The Incredibles 2 will release in theaters, John Lasseter confirmed during the summer that the sequel begins right where the original film had ended.
“It starts right as the first one finishes, so it just carries on. It starts with the Underminer and a big old set piece. You know that at the end of the first movie when he comes up, and you see the family dressed as superheroes, well that’s where start this movie.”
It is also important to note that the upcoming trailer is only a teaser, just one minute long. However, it would be enough to keep the fans on their toes. Most of the story details about The Incredibles 2 are secret right now, but, we know that the film is set to unleash over 20 new heroes. Besides that, the entire original cast will come back to reprise their roles. The one big change is that Dash will now be voiced, Huck Milner.
The Incredibles 2 has a scheduled release date of June 15, 2018. The Incredibles happens to be among the best movies ever made by Pixar, and it has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The original film had made over $633 million worldwide. However, it won’t be a big deal for the sequel to make more than that amount.
