A new and extended trailer has been posted online for the CW show The Flash’s Fourth Season premiere. This trailer shows the Central City being attacked by the villains at a time when Iris and Cisco are debating animatedly about whether to summon Barry back.

You can have a look at the trailer above which starts with West who has taken charge at S.T.A.R Labs and has overcome her sorrow of seeing Barry Allen sacrificing himself to join the Speed Force. Her father is backing her, but, she is still dragging herself up to plug the vacuum and guard Central City.

However, Cisco and Wally West are finding it difficult to take control of things in the scenario of all the villains regrouping to create mayhem in Flash’s absence.

There is a very brief glimpse of Flash’s return and also the arrival of a new bad guy called Samuroids. Since all other heroes are tasked to the teeth, Cisco is frantically trying to bring Flash back to Central City.

On the other hand, Iris has decided to move ahead as she had promised Barry that she wouldn’t be backtracking or attempting to bring him back. Thus, the duo gets into an argument which shows Iris express her doubts about Barry being alive while Cisco is absolutely confident about it.

Ultimately Cisco takes the call and sets up the Speed Force cannon to bring back his friend.

He does succeed, and Barry is back, but, he is not the same guy anymore. What do we mean? Well, to begin with, Barry now sports a beard.

By the looks of it, there is a great mystery being whipped up by the debut episode itself of The Flash Season Four. What brings Barry back? What kind of transformation did he undergo at the Speed Force? Also, since it is understood that you need to remain there, how did he return?

All these questions will be answered once Team Flash takes charge on The CW on Tuesday, October 10th.
