Away from the Disney buyouts of Fox, fans might have got an exciting look at the official Venom movie logo. And even a costume tease for the comic book fan-favorite.

Promising to go where no comic book movie has, Mad Max star Tom Hardy will slither into action as Eddie Brock. Helping to kick off Sony’s villainverse, Venom has promised to be a dark take.

Filming is underway, and while the information of the set has been quiet, Collider had spotted some interesting banners at Comic-Con Experience São Paulo. The latest images appear to not just show Venom’s logo, but also suggests the kind of suit Hardy will be sporting.

Hardy has gifted the fans just a few grainy shots in black and white, but the CCXP images are exciting. Fans must note the slogan reads “we are Venom.” If this is the movie’s official tagline, it amps up the idea that Brock and his outer space symbiote are bonded together by the time the movie gets going.

The other possibility is the “we” refers to the inclusion of Cletus Kadady aka. Carnage.

As for Venom’s look, the banners seem to quash earlier reports that Hardy will be donning the Agent Venom costume. If the images are the real deal, Fleischer is sticking with the promise of Cronenberg-esque monsters and a classic symbiote design.

Venom is all set for an October 2018 release, so the big reveal may be an early Christmas present for the fans.

Venom looks dark and seems like a brooding take on Spider-Man stories. There have been talks of a Venom stand-alone movie ever since Raimi’s trilogy about the wall-crawling hero had come out of cinemas in 2007. It might have been a decade in the making, but it looks like Brock and the sinister symbiote are going to get their silver screen appreciation.
