Taron Egerton will be delighted if Dwayne Johnson comes on board Kingsman 3. After the success of the X-Men prequel, X-Men: First Class, Matthew Vaughn went on to create the cinematic adaptation of the comic book series Kingsman: The Secret Series created by Mark Millar. The 2015 film was loved by the audiences and critics alike and it not only earned lavish praises but, also grossed more than $414 million globally against the production budget of $81 million. This encouraged the studio to embark on creating a sequel written by Jane Goldman and to be directed by Vaughn Again.

This sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle released the last weekend, and although it didn’t prove to be a runaway success like the original film it has already scaled to the box office charts and has gone past the $61 million marks worldwide out of which $39 million have come from domestic US markets. This sequel has created the base for the final episode of the franchise, and it is learned that 20th Century Fox might already be well into the planning stage for the final segment of the Kingsman saga. It is thus, reported that Egerton is keen on making Johnson join the cast for a grand finale.

Egerton is busy these days with promotions of Kingsman:  The Golden Circle along with the film’s cast which includes the original cast members Colin Firth and Mark Strong as well as the new joiners Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal. He didn’t reveal any details about the storyline of Kingsman 3, but, he told The Hollywood Reporter that he would be happy to have Dwayne Johnson join the team as the prospective villain in the final movie of the franchise.

“I know who the character is, and it’s nothing like this actor, but I love Dwayne Johnson. I think he’s the right fit for it, but the villain role Matthew has described to me is not Dwayne Johnson.”

Dwayne’s acting career has taken off in a big way in recent times and the fact that he was the highest paid actor last year with an income of over $64 million in the calendar year. It is true that he is not working non-stop. He saw two movie releases last year (Central Intelligence and Moana) and also played the lead role in the HBO series Ballers. In 2017, he has already been seen in The Fate of the Furious and Baywatch whereas Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is lined up for release.

Therefore, notwithstanding the fact that Dwayne Johnson might not be a suitable villain for Kingsman 3, the star might just be too busy to play a role in case he did get the chance. He is already working on multiple projects that will release in 2018 and 2019 and are embroiled in scheduling tussles with other franchise films. However, even if Johnson won’t be able to be the bad guy, there might just be another character for the actor to play in Kingsman 3.
