Star Wars 8 will reveal Kylo and the Knights of Ren, but, have you already seen them and not even noticed?

The Last Jedi trailer is about to come out.

It was a delight for the Star Wars fans to see the flurry of merchandise that came out in last month’s Force Friday 2. However, they quickly found out that the much-awaited set of characters was missing.

Where are the Knights of Ren?

We haven’t seen them anywhere else other than a fleeting appearance in Episode 7Forceback vision of Rey and a casual reference from Snoke. There is no sign of them in any artwork, and they haven’t been seen in any spin-off books or comics, etc. based on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi that have been around for the last one year.

The latest leak hints at a secret identity that is going to shock, frustrate and confuse all Star Wars fans.

YouTube channel Star WarsTheory is not known for either issuing leaks or spoilers, but, believes that the fresh Knights of Ren rumors are not baseless.

It says: “The Knights of Ren are a group of diehard fan boys, almost a cult, who have been looking for Snoke. Now they have found him; they will do anything for him.

“Snoke’s new Praetorian Guards are the Knights of Ren.

Really? While it does have some logic since we saw about six or seven Knights in Rey’s vision and that’s exactly the number of Praetorians, and they also look similar to the Knights. The only difference is that their clothes vary a little and they are armed.

Star Wars Theory further quotes their source as saying: “They vow to serve Snoke and protect him as he regenerates. Willing to give their lives at opportune moments to give Snoke power in battle.”

This is in line with several suggestions about Snoke being some ancient creature who can suck the life force from others and use it to keep himself going.

Sadly, this would mean that the Knights, who are now Praetorians, will be hardly anything more than similar to zombies.

Star Wars Theory further elaborated: “The Knights of Ren don’t talk. They have little life in them. Just a slight presence in one small shard of the person that was once there before.”

His source states: “In a fight, Kylo Ren can control them, like a lightsaber or maybe gloves… Each one has something that glows on them, like the rings on the mace. Each one is unique.

“They’re not drones… But they’re an extension of Kylo. It’s very hard to explain.“

What are the odds of this being true?

The concept is definitely interesting, and it also clarifies why the Knights have been totally absent from the ongoing marketing. But, their dual connection to Snoke as well as Kylo Ren is impractical as well as confusing.

Snoke is aware of Kylo Ren not being proficient with the Dark Side of the Force. Therefore, it makes no sense why he would let such an apprentice take charge of those mighty warriors especially when his own sustenance depends on them?
