The list comprising of cancellations from Marvel Comics has now at least six titled with Tuesday’s announcement about She-Hulk finishing in March with issue 163.

Thus, She-Hulk joins Generation X, Hawkeye, Iceman, Luke Cage and The Unbelievable Gwenpool, which have already been officially canceled after they were missing from Marvel’s March solicitations.

Mariko Tamaki, the writer of She-Hulk, shared the news with fans in a Twitter statement. “I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to write this character through some serious challenges,” Tamaki said, in part. “I worked with an incredible team and collaborated with incredible artists on this series, and I can’t wait to tell you the stuff we are working on next!”

Christina Harrington, Editor, stated that She-Hulk #163 is not just the last issue from Tamaki, but, also the final issue of the series. She conveyed her thanks to Senior Editor Mark Pannicia and Executive Director Tom Brevoort, “who fought for this series from day one,” and added, “When we knew we weren’t getting another arc after 163, they let us end Jen’s arc on our terms and on terms that made sense for her character.”

A spin-off from Marvel’s Civil War II, the Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk debuted in December last year written by Tamaki and designed by Nico Leon. The series got its original title, She-Hulk, back in August during the Marvel Legacy initiative.

Brevoort had mentioned the cancellations in general terms last week, and tweeted, “It is worth pointing out again: Incredible Hulk was canceled once. X-Men was canceled once. Thor was canceled once. Being canceled is not necessarily the end of the story, nor does it necessarily reflect the value of the work.” He further stated on Tuesday night, “We go through this cycle every year where weaker-selling titles get pruned. It just happens to be that moment again.”

The She-Hulk #163 by Tamaki and artist Diego Olortegu, comes out on March 7, 2018.
