A very prominent member of the Justice League just tied the knot but to whom will surprise you.

Aquaman and Justice League star Jason Momoa had just gotten married to Lisa Bonet in a secret wedding, but it seems that the two were already married. The couple has been “married” since November of 2007, and made it official on October 2nd (via US Weekly).

It seems some of their friends did not know they were not already married.

“Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet had an official wedding a few weeks ago at their house in Topanga, California,” an insider revealed. “Apparently they weren’t officially married until then! They said they ‘made it official.’”

Momoa and Bonet have two children together, Lola (10) and Nokoa-Wolf (8), and got a marriage license from the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder a week before the ceremony.

Bonet’s daughter Zoe Kravitz had attended the nuptials like Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, and Chris Sharma. A source had said that, “He stays close with the people he works with on movies and is a really nice guy. It was a big party and people came from out of town to attend.”

Momoa wore a white shirt and lei for this ceremony and a few wedding guests had performed a traditional Maori haka for Bonet.

The ceremony was held at their home in Topanga, California.

Momoa has lots to celebrate, as he has been one of the highlights in Justice League’s trailers. His take on Aquaman is be destined for a huge spike in fame, which bodes great for his upcoming stand aloneAquaman film with James Wan.

Momoa warns that Justice League will not feature the Aquaman that a few fans are used to, at least early on.

“Really, it’s a huge growth for me,” Momoa said. “It’s a gigantic arc for Arthur Curry. It may be tough for a lot of fans to watch what they’re gonna see, how I portray him. But you gotta wait until we get to the solo movie to really know. Because he’s not king yet. He doesn’t believe in himself, he doesn’t know what to do with the powers he has. He’s going through tons of loss. He hates Atlanteans. The fact that people are calling him ‘Aquaman’ right now — he couldn’t give two shits about anything Atlantean. So he’s really not quite there yet. That’s kind of tough to play. We gotta figure out the origin, where we’re going. Some people will be like, ‘This isn’t my Aquaman.’ But we’re not there yet.”

Fans can see Aquaman in action when Justice League hits theaters on November 17.
