Since War for the Planet of the Apes is moving nearer to its release, director Matt Reeves has been caught up with updating DC fans on his plans for The Batman. The movie producer plans to make a more personal film for Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight and he additionally tries to follow Alfred Hitchcock’s style in film making. Presently, new reports uncover that Reeves wants a “noir-driven, detective version of Batman.”

Talking in an interview with New Trailer Buzz for War for the Planet of the Apes, Reeves was quizzed about his vision for The Batman and this was his answer:

“In all of my films, what I try to do, in an almost Hitchcockian sense, is use the camera and use the storytelling so that you become that character, and you emphasize with that point of view. There’s a chance to do an almost noir-driven, detective version of Batman that is point-of-view driven in a very, very powerful way, that hopefully is going to connect you to what’s going on inside of his head and inside of his heart.”

With a personal, noir-driven, detective style, The Batman appears like a truly smart idea. It’ll add color to the DCEU and give more weight to the expanding comic book franchise.

The Batman doesn’t have a release date right now. Nevertheless, we’ll make it a point to update everybody when we get any fresh inputs.
