Justice League is yet to be released, but fans can confirm a cameo from the original Superman movie. And after Batman v Superman found a role for everyone’s favorite photojournalist, Jimmy Olsen of the Man of Steel will be happy to see the actor who made Jimmy Olsen a hero be in the spotlight.

Actor, Marc McClure had teased a Justice League cameo, and footage has now revealed his role in DC team-up. Mr. Olsen has becomes press credentials for a badge in DC movie universe, appearing as a police officer at the Superman memorial in Metropolis.

The McClure cameo has been be confirmed thanks to the arrival of Justice League‘s Wonder Woman & Cyborg week, putting DC’s successful movie hero besides the least-known new member. Prior footage of the movie had shown Cyborg saving police officers from a car.

We cannot make out the name on McClure’s badge, which is going to double-down on the Easter Egg. Perhaps a nod to the Jimmy, actor Jack Larson? For now, the first Justice League cameo is great.

Hopefully the inclusion will help get some fans who had felt betrayed by Olsen’s prior role in DCEU back to WB’s side. It was assumed that a character like ‘Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen’ may be hard to fit into Zack Snyder’s modern universe. Only in the Ultimate Cut had Jimmy reveal himself by his name.

Many may view this inclusion of McClure as a gesture to smooth things, both for fans and version of the plucky Daily Planet photog. Whether it is an attempt to make peace or continue a trend of involving classic actors that superhero movies have made famous, it is a win for fans. Especially if there is more to this role than McClure’s expression.

We will keep you posted for new information released as part of Justice League‘s character campaigns, whether or not they build towards a reveal of Superman returned.
