After a long 14-year gap, Jeepers Creepers 3 is set to make its way to theatres. Although there isn’t any official trailer or announcement yet, according to a new report, the horror sequel, Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral, directed by Victor Salva is scheduled to arrive in theatres next month.

In a recent listing on AMC Theatre’s website, one can note that the movie is said to be released on September 26 and has a run time of 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Initially, reports suggested that the events of Jeepers Creepers 3 would be taking place many years after the happenings of the first movie. But Bloody Disgusting said that the new movie would be held between the events of the first film and Jeepers Creepers 2. The third film will follow a group of hunters, led by Meg Foster. Aware of the Creeper’s mythology, they aim to stop the creature before it starts feeding on humans.

Gina Phillips, the actress who starred in the first Jeepers Creepers movie, said that Victor Salva has even written Jeepers Creepers 4. If the movie does well at the box office, he plans to bring back Phillips and stick to the original plan. This involves her character avenging the death of her brother.

But there remains a shadow of doubt on how the audience is going to respond to Jeepers Creepers 3. And there are many reasons for the same.

Firstly, the marketing campaign for the movie hasn’t even started. The movie is all set to hit the screens next month, but no awareness of any sort has been built for Jeepers Creepers 3.

Another problem is Victor Salva himself. He was convicted of engaging in sexual acts with a minor. This happened while working on the movie, Clownhouse. So, for this reason, many may choose to not support the movie.

But Jeepers Creepers 3 is a movie that fans would love to see. If the film takes up well, we can see yet another sequel of everyone’s favourite horror movie.
