We know Henry Cavil as the on screen Superman, but, recent events show that this Justice League actor is a real life hero as well.

Cavill shared a video on Instagram which showed him helping remove the fallen trees and debris left in the aftermath of hurricane Irma. Though, he is not the super strong Man of Steel in real life, but, he did try to do his bit by wielding a chainsaw. He not only helped in the efforts but, also made fun of his inability to make the kind of difference that he had wished to.

“Popped over to Florida to help out some friends. Also got to use a chainsaw for the first time and as you can see it was almost my last time too! Wishing everyone a speedy rebuild process and a chainsaw accident-free environment. @HurricaneIrma,” this was the caption that Cavill gave to the video which he had posted on his Instagram account.

Arriving shortly after the devastating Hurricane Harvey that had caused mayhem in Texas in late August, Hurricane Irma lashed at Florida and the Caribbean region. These two monstrous storms destroyed property worth hundreds of billions of dollars besides claiming several lives. The Superman aka Cavill is not the only star who contributed in the relief efforts, but, Ryan Reynolds from Deadpool also uploaded a picture on his Instagram last week which showed him wearing a shirt that supported fundraising for the recovery operations.

He also exhorted people to buy such shirts as well as asking them to donate to whichever charity they prefer. The actress Kristen Bell (Frozen) also visited community shelters in Florida and through her singing, she brought smiles and momentary relief, to those who were weathering out the storm.
