Darth Vader on his transformation from Anakin became hell bent on hunting down Roan Shryne, an exceptionally skilled Jedi. This was in the end stages of Order 66, which led the Imperial Forces to search and execute the remaining Jedi. Many Jedi had fled to Kashyyyk where Vader finally got to know that the Wookiees have been quite successful in warding off the clone troopers.
Vader came down accompanied by the 501st Legion, despite the Imperial Officers wanting to bomb the planet from above. Vader’s intention was to combat with the Jedi face to face. Even after combing the planet Darth Vader failed to find the hidden Jedi warriors, hence he allowed the Imperial Officers to bomb the entire planet except the capital city from above. He along with the 501st Legion attacked the capital city with an intention to expose the hidden Jedi so they can be bombed too.
Vader was successful in his search and they located six Jedi. Vader went on finishing one by one and Roan Shryne appeared at the end. Shryne and Vader were the perfect match for one another and they went fighting into a tree to avoid the orbital attack. Shryne caught the side of the control panel on Vader’s chest and understood that it was the source of his powers. As he targeted it, Vader’s arms and legs were exposed.
Vader knew that he was vulnerable now and started throwing walls and platforms at Shryne by using force. He was finally got his lucky shot and Shryne fell down from the platform. He was critically injured and as Vader realized that he was nearing his end, he revealed that Palpatine was a Sith Lord and the Jedi would be doomed. He also said that he was Anakin Skywalker. Shryne was unperturbed and he defiantly said that unlike Vader, he would join the force soon akin to a Sith Lord.
